Hunter's First Year

Our precious little man turns one tomorrow. I really can't believe that an entire year has passed by. (I should be WAY more organized after a year!) A year ago today, I had gone to the doctor and he told me to check in at the hospital in a few hours. I was so nervous about learning to balance two children, and for the most part, things were much easier than I had anticipated. Emily and Hunter just fit together and being their mommy felt right.

Hunter has brought us so much JOY over the past year. He began as a laid-back little baby and an excellent sleeper. A year later, Hunter has learned to voice his opinion with a grunt and a point, and he's even learning words for the things he wants. He has the biggest, sweetest, grin, and his little nose wrinkles up when he flashes that smile. He loves animals and outside. He can already ride around on Emily's toys and he can crawl onto the couch, piano, or most any other high spot. He doesn't like to sleep in his crib (Emily must have been talking to him about her baby days!) and he LOVES to snuggle with us. He wallows all over Emily and me, and he snuggles right up to his Daddy to fall asleep on the couch most nights. He has won our hearts, and we are SO VERY GRATEFUL for our precious, healthy little boy!

Happy birthday, Hunter Man! We love you more than cupcakes!
