Happy Birthday, Nathan!

My nephew turned 5 back on October 18th, so we all got together at my mom's house for his annual party in Gran's backyard. Emily is big enough that she really loves trying to keep up with her cousins now, so she had a blast. Hunter just loved all the extra hands there that were ever so willing to hold him! Nathan was entertaining, as always, and Allison, David, and Betsy were great to entertain their 2 little cousins. Nathan had asked for a Batman party, so my mom made little capes and bat ears for he and Emily-- super cute! (Did I mention before that my mom is so super talented with stuff like this?!) Here are a few pictures from our birthday weekend.....

Is that a grin? Yes, I believe Hunter
likes that attention from Aunt Alicia!
The Batman Birthday Boy
Emily could not get that blue icing off her mind!
She kept asking when it was going to be time for cupcakes.

Betsy held Hunter so I could eat cake and ice cream
and help Batman and Batgirl into their club house! :0)

My sisters: Amie (L) and Alicia (R)
This was when I walked up and caught my grandmother
and sisters talking about me! You can tell they were
making fun of me because they're laughing so hard.
Grandmother, I'd expect it of them, but you, too?!
Saving the world!

I loved this shot!

All tuckered out from playing so hard
We met everyone at McDonald's the next morning.
This was Hunter's first trip to the golden arches.
(And notice Emily ducking because she didn't want
her picture taken!)
Allison climbed all over the playland with Emily.
David gave Hunter special attention. They talked
so much that Hunter wore himself out!
Back at Gran's house, Emily and Nathan played
church. She was "church lady" and I believe Nathan
was switching roles between being the daddy and baby.
After a lot of work from my mom, Pappy, and me,
Hunter finally gave us a smile for the camera! :0)

And now, the best pictures from the weekend were our attempts at a cousins shot. Well, you can tell that my biggest little angel was the one not cooperating that weekend! She is going through a phase where she pokes her lips out and scowls every time we try to take a picture of her. She made no exceptions at the party! Oh, my, Emily!

After that many attempts, we finally just gave up! Oh, well, maybe next year's picture will be better!

So impressed with batman/batgirl (and their costumes are good too)! :) Alice is so very talented. If she keeps this up, she's going to get herself some outside business! Those pictures at the end are priceless...so glad you included them all to give the full effect!
