Mother's Day 2010

Brad was gone to Boston for Mother's Day this year, so it was just me and my sweet girl. Emily's birth rocked my world more than any other event in my life! I didn't know what to do with that little bundle that wouldn't sleep or eat (solids), and I spent the first year of her life "out-of-it" from her constant night wakings. (Still rare for her to sleep through the night.) As hard as these years have been on me, they have been THE BEST thing Brad and I have ever experienced. That sweet girl is so precious and gentle, completely girly and SO full of life! We are so proud of her and so thankful that she is ours!! (God knew exactly what we needed!) I can't imagine what next Mother's Day will be like with Hunter added to the mix. We know that, once again, God will give us exactly the child we need, and we are so excited to see all that lies ahead. I am so blessed and so grateful for all that God has given me!

She just HAD to try on the boots we got
Gran for Mother's Day! She also just HAD
to try the chocolate covered pretzels we gave
Grandmother! She ran into church carrying them and
sat with GM and Pappy so she could eat samples during
church services! :0)

At the end of the day, I realized Emily and I hadn't
taken any pictures together. With Brad gone, I had
just forgotten. I tried to snap a few pictures of the 2
of us together. We didn't get a classic Mother's Day pose,
but I thought these were really sweet and really showed
how close me and this sweet little girl are.

Enily is absolutely precious and I have to say that pregnancy looks amazing on you...you just have this beautiful glow about you and look so happy (not that you don't always, but it is even more right now)! I hope all is well...take care.
