Brad picked out these pink flamingo and palm tree
lights for the camper. How funny are those?!
Emily was checking out the "mingo." She thought
it was a necklace for some reason. :)

Bedtime stories in the camper--
She is VERY into this Bible rhyme book right now.
I would highly recommend it to begin teaching the
basic Bible stories. Emily is already learning so much
just from these simple rhymes.
We had a major scare on this trip. Scott, Val, and I were in the camper Saturday afternoon and were starting to get ready to have Scott's birthday pie. Brad had gone out to put something in the car. Tanner and Emily were rolling around on the camper's pull-out bed, and all of a sudden Scott said, "Where's Emily?" We heard her screaming outside the camper at that moment. We tore outside, and I screamed for Brad. She had rolled over to the edge of the bed, fallen down through the crack in the tarp, and landed face first in the rocks under the camper. Everything happened so quickly, and we still don't know exactly what happened. Brad scooped her up and started pulling rocks out of cuts in her face. He checked her pupils and kept asking her questions to see if she was mentally okay. We decided not to carry her to the ER, because Brad said they wouldn't do a head scan. After about 30 minutes, we knew she was okay. I am SO THANKFUL Brad was there and was able to stay calm. I can't describe how terrifying it was. The only way we can figure out that she walked away from this was that God reached out His hands and caught her. She could have been paralyzed, had damage to her brain, or worse. There are no words to describe how thankful we are! Prayer after prayer has gone up thanking God!
After things calmed down, Brad realized his foot was hurting. We looked down to see that he had ripped his leather flip flop in half (talk about a rush of adrenaline) and there was a piece of glass sticking out of his foot.
As of today, Emily looks great. There is a small spot still above her lip, and we don't know if that's a permanent scar or not. Even if it is, I suppose it will be a reminder that God is good, and He watches over his children!
Happy but sleepy about 30 minutes after the fall--
We still can't believe how good she looked for what
had happened to her. GLORY TO GOD!

On our walk around the lake, we stopped to help the
camp ranger get his lawnmower un-stuck. He went and
got his truck so Brad could pull him out, and we laughed
and laughed because sitting in the front seat by Brad was
a wild boar head (stuffed and mounted).
You don't see that everyday!! :0)
We couldn't make ourselves head back home, so we ended up staying an extra night. Brad's parents and brother drove down to stay the last night with us.
Emily learned a new word on this trip-- smoke--
Here she was telling K about the "moke" that was
coming out of the fire Daddy built. She liked the smoke
more than she liked the fire!
