August Fun

Whew! August was HOT, and I'll admit, I tried to steer Emmy away from outside activities as much as I could. I'm definitely more of an autumn fan! Here are a few (okay, a couple hundred) pics from August.....

August 7th-- While washing our camping gear, a box of Bounce sheets (an ENTIRE box of Bounce sheets) got scooped into the washing machine, and I didn't discover it until AFTER they finished washing. Sigh..... This sums up so many of my days lately!


August 10th-- Tyler is getting this paddle boat to use for fishing for his birthday. Before they put it in the lake water, B and T decided to play a little joke on my sister and her husband. One day while Alicia and Robert were running errands, B and T took the boat to their pool and dropped it in. When they got home, Brad, Tyler, Emily, and I were paddling around their pool singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." It got tons of laughs and was completely worth the effort it took! :0) Of course, we all had to go for a little ride since it was already in the water.


Later that night, Emily showed us (once again) that she is going to be very particular about her clothing as she grows up. She got her Sunday bloomers out of her dirty clothes basket, brought them to me, and insisted that she wear them over her pajamas!

the accessories came out too.....

August 11th-- Emily's new pants for football season arrived in the mail, and she wanted to wear them right then over her outfit.

I also put Emily's hair in pigtails this night. I LOVE her hair like this. I know my child looks just like her daddy, but when she's in pigtails, I see so much of my baby pictures in her.


August 13th-- The fits are really starting to pick up.....



August 14th-- Baking chocolate chip pound cake


Playing outside after our baking session. I think we each got 10 bites in the 10 minutes we were out there. The mosquitoes are AWFUL this year!!


August 16th-- Our girl loves to write.....

Our girl also loves to throw fits.... :0)

August 17th-- Playing in a headband she found

August 18th-- She likes corn!!!!



August 31st-- Watching "Barney Goes to the Farm," her new FAVORITE!
