Girly Girl

Emily and I have been sick AGAIN, and I've gotten behind on my posts. Thankfully, we are feeling better and have almost finished our 10 day course of antibiotics. Lets hope it lasts!

Emily has now officially begun communicating with us. She's not just saying words and answering our questions. She is actually initiating conversation and telling us what she wants. I don't always know what she's saying instantly, but Brad and I are getting better at understanding our baby girl's language. She's pretty persistent in helping us understand, too! :)

She has such personality and LIFE these days, and we find ourselves amazed at all she can say and do. There are so many sweet girly things she's doing that we have not shown her. She's started these things on her own, and it just goes to show that some girls are ALL girl!

Waiting (with her purse.....that she had just lugged
all over Kroger) for Mommy to pump the gas

'Helping' Mommy shuck the corn
(These husks had been in the trash, but she was
helping unload them onto the floor.)
Playing at home, happy as can be
(once again....with purse)

Wearing her bracelet-- I was packing up these links
with her baby toys, and she insisted on having one.
She instantly put it on her wrist!

Playing ball with Beau....in her butterfly wings

She would not get in the bath without
her bunny ears this day.

She wanted to wear her flower headband
while playing with Barney. Barney and Elmo are
her two current loves!

Patting her Bible

Taking baby on a stroll through the house

Rocking baby and singing "Bye Ba-by"
(Rock-a-bye Baby) while patting her on the back

Crossing her legs as she waits for her new diaper--
her "Mel-mo" (Elmo) diaper, to be exact

Sitting on the curb, waiting for Daddy to get home

Smelling the flowers by the front door
(I think she might have gotten a little taste, too!)

She unloaded her bag and read her book while
I was unloading the dryer.

Talking on the phone to "Pa Pa" (Pappy)--
When we ask who she's going to call, she almost
always picks to call Pappy, my granddad.

We feel blessed beyond measure with this precious baby girl! Every day is such a joy!

What a sweetheart! Those are precious pictures, and you'll be so glad you took pictures of some of her "typical activities" - you think you'll never forget a stage in her life, but if you are like me, you will. She has a beautiful smile, just like her mommy!
