Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there! Motherhood is a daily challenge for me, and I respect all the women who keep their cool as they love their little ones every day of the year. I hope your day treats you as special as you really are!

Brad and I were both blessed with wonderful moms. Each brought us up in her own unique way, teaching us invaluable life lessons. There is no doubt in our minds that we were (and are) loved in a big way!

I am especially thankful for my sweet husband and the precious little angel who made me a mother almost 16 months ago. Emily is a JOY each and every day, and I love all the amazing moments she brings me. I believe God knows exactly what we need, and I feel so blessed to have our baby girl!

This year, I was treated BIG for Mother's Day. Brad (and Emily) gave me a coffee machine that makes individual cups of coffee. I just choose my flavor, pop in the little cup, and.....VOILA!....a perfectly brewed cup! I love coffee, but I'm not too consistent when it comes to making a good pot of it, so I was THRILLED with my gift! I've been eyeing this special maker for months. The salon where I had a birthday pedicure had one of these, and I was in awe. I AM SO EXCITED!! Thanks, Brad, for the perfect gift!

And now, some pictures of the little girl who makes me the proudest, happiest mommy.......

I love that she loves to cuddle!

That sweet grin melts my heart!

Our rocking time at the end of the day
is so special to me!

I love watching my sweet baby.
Here she was focused on watching Barney.

I love you, bright eyes!
She's got personality! She took her sunglasses
out of her suitcase the night before we left for
the beach and was giving them a little 'test drive.'

Our little family of three
Emily pats her little hand next to her
on her stool and says, "Mama." Of course,
I sit right down just where she tells me to.
How could I resist that?

Emily is looking more like a little girl, not such a baby!! Congrats on the coffee maker - you will love it. We have one that makes great individual cups and after MK was born it got me through many sleep-deprived days!
