Fit #27 for Today

Okay, Emily hasn't actually had 27 fits today.....not that she won't have had that many by the day's end, though! She's just to that stage where grunting and pointing and tears are commonplace. Yesterday at Wal-Mart, the tears came out when we passed by the cheese display without picking any up, when I put waffles in the cart and she couldn't have one RIGHT THEN, and standing in the back of the cart b/c she wasn't able to balance and hold the swimsuit hanger. She's definitely getting smart enough to know EXACTLY what she wants, and she's not afraid to tell us!

This picture shows our funniest fit from today:
Emily likes to help throw things away. I'm trying to teach the girl early that it's good to help her mama out! She has this thing (obsession, really) about bags. She is constantly picking up bags/purses and carrying them around the house. But she won't pick the bag up and hold it by the handle. She MUST push her arm through the strap and carry it in the crook of her elbow. This is why we had some trouble this morning. When I handed her the little bag of trash to carry out to the dumpster with me, she kept trying to push her arm through the handle. Obviously, a trash bag doesn't have a handle (at least not the cheap kind I buy), so she became very frustrated. I eventually had to punch a hole through the bag so she could carry it HER WAY! She was still a little upset about it in the picture above.

I have a feeling this child is going to give us a run for our money! But there's not one little thing I'd change about her! I love her EXACTLY the way she is!!!!

Oh yes...those are so NOT fun (we have LOTS of those each day)! It's a hard stage b/c they can't really tell you exactly what they want yet...but definitely KNOW what they want. I think when he started that I thought I was seriously going to LOSE MY MIND (even more than I already had)! It just stops being fun going anywhere. I am convinced that every store should have a drive through window. Never thought about that until I had a baby...but seriously thinking about starting a company that puts those in! :)
Glad to know that other toddlers out there are throwing fits too (somehow it makes us feel that we are somewhat normal, right)! Love you and hang in there!

Is this what I have to look forward to with a girl? :) Alex throws fits too...mostly when he has to come inside. She is precious-even during her fits. I love that she helps take out the trash. It's nice to have someone do a few little things for you isn't it?

Too funny, she is so stinking cute! I had a day of fits last Wed, I thought God had to be punshing me for something I did in my past. I have a feeling the worst is yet to come. Love the Easter pics below, adorable.
