Emily has used Pampers Swaddlers since she was born. At some point I tried Huggies, only to quickly switch back to the Swaddlers. I love the fact that these diapers are a cloth-like material, have never leaked on me, and they're solid white which doesn't show through clothing. In fact, I love these diapers so much that I had my sister send down several packs from Nashville when I couldn't find the size 2/3 here in town.
Today we finished off the last diaper that Amie sent down to us, and I had to go out and buy Em's first pair of size 3 diapers. As crazy as it sounds, I was a little emotional over it. I even documented our last wear of the Swaddlers on camera.
I decided to stay with Pampers since they've been so good to me in the past. :) When I got to the store I found two different types-- Cruisers and Baby Flex. I opened a package of each to feel the diapers (I'll probably be caught by video surveillance and go to Wal-Mart jail.) and decided the Cruisers seemed more like the Swaddlers. They seem to be a similar cloth-like material, but they're not solid white, which was so sweet and baby-like.
They almost look boy-like. Is there a girl version I'm missing? Until we can find something more feminine, I guess we'll keep them covered with some of our girly bloomers!
Anyway..... did anyone else have a strong diaper preference for your child? Would you recommend another one as we go up in size? Am I the only one who got a little sad thinking about moving up a diaper size? (I remember she moved to a size 2 while we were living in Memphis, and I was sad then, too!)

You are making me laugh, but I remember having the same feelings. We LOVED swaddlers, definitely our favorite. We had very few leakage issues. We moved on to Cruisers, which is where we are today...size 4. We are also sporting the disney princess pull ups these days. :) Emily is so beautiful! Can't wait to kiss on her again! Love you!
Angie...we are also in the Cruisers 3s. We could probably switch to 4s anytime...but I went a little crazy with a Babies-R-Us coupon, so we are finishing up a few more boxes. I've tried a bunch of different diapers and the Pampers are by far my fave! Worth the extra $$ to me. I do know some folks that like the Target brand, but we had leakage issues where we have had very few with the Pampers. I know how you feel about being sad...they get so big so quick. Tomorrow...we turn Sam's car seat around. He's not a baby anymore. So sad! Have a great weekend! Love yoU!

You are so funny! Hey I've heard a lot of good things about doing diapers through diapers.com we will DEF be doing it that this next time around - everyone who uses it loves it.
I was sad to give up the Swaddlers too! Not only were they soft, but they had this sweet smell . . I used to sniff the package when I was waiting for Mckinley to be born. We're in Cruisers to and it's just another reminder that I don't have a little bitty baby anymore that I can swaddle, instead I have a toddler that is cruising all over the place!
Cruisers are the next best thing to Swaddlers in my opionion. And yes I got a little sad over leaving the swaddlers too(even though i didn't document it):)I hate the Baby Flex. They always leaked overnight! :( YUCK!
