I can't believe that Emily will be six months old on Saturday. The fact that she's been with us for half a year just doesn't seem possible. I feel like I've barely gotten her home and am just now getting the hang of things. She has been the most amazing blessing we've ever been given. I feel so much love for her and feel such a pure joy when I see her smile at me. Having a child and adjusting to motherhood has been the hardest and most self-sacrificial thing I have ever done, but it is by far the best experience I've ever lived. When I think about God loving us so much that he gave His son, it humbles me. I have such a strong connection with Emily, and I can't imagine giving her up for anyone else, especially someone who was so full of sin. Not that anything I give up could ever be compared to God's gift, but it does put things more in perspective for me.I'll leave you with some pictures of our sweet little angel. (I got on a roll one afternoon and couldn't stop snapping, so the pictures are all really similar.) Happy half a year, Emily!

I can't believe she is already 6 months! Of course I can't believe Diane is almost 3! They grow so fast! I LOVE the pictures, especially the last one!!
It's hard for me to believe she's six months old, too. She's such a blessing and a joy! I never knew how great it was to be a grandparent until now.
