Changing Every Day

Brad and I always say we'd like to go back and be little kids again-- and really enjoy it this time around. How fun would it be to play all day and be held when you were sleepy or hurt? I guess we got our chance at that, but we didn't know how great it was at the time. We didn't get to really enjoy it. Since we can't go back and relive our childhoods, we're trying to slow down and really enjoy Emily's. She changes so much from week to week.

Emily's a few weeks out from being three months, and she's learned so many new tricks recently. She loves to blow bubbles and has figured out how to get her hands to her mouth. Every now and then she hits her hands on the toys hanging from her play mat, and it makes her so happy with herself! Every morning and evening we lie next to each other, and she talks and talks in the sweetest little voice. She loves reading books, although some pages are scary and make her poke out that lower lip. She loves splashing in her bath, and she now notices her feet while she's propped up in her tub. Just this week she has started the beginnings of rolling over. She can get her stomach and legs flipped over, but she hasn't quite figured out how to get her arm out from under her. Everything is so new and exciting to her, and we LOVE watching her discover so many new things.

It's so much fun watching them learn something new. I can't wait to see her tomorrow! A week is way too long not to see her!! I'm afraid I might miss something she's learned.
