March 23

March 23 was a big day at our house. Not only was it Emily's first Easter, it was also her grandmother's birthday. K, Brad's mom, had a really big birthday. They were gone to Nashville for the Lads to Leaders conference, so we had to do our celebrating early in the week. K wasn't very excited about this BIG BIRTHDAY, so she wouldn't let us plan a party. Brad's brother and sister got a cookie cake (yum!), and we all went out to eat together.
Emily got her Easter basket from Big Daddy and K
this night.

Emily enjoyed her first Easter, and we thought she looked absolutely precious in her little dress. She only made it in her dress until about 11:00 when she had a giant diaper blowout. Her next outfit lasted through the big lunch Brad cooked for everyone at our house. After a tee-tee leak, we changed into outfit #3 for her first egg hunt. I have a feeling she's going to be "all girl" with all these outfit changes! :)

Emily was wrapped in the blanket my grandmother
made for her, and she wore booties that my
great-grandmother made years ago.
Brad's homemade chips are SO GOOD!
His ka-bobs were a big hit!
Look at the cute little egg I found! :)

Tyler, Brad, and Betsy had their own "challenge egg
hunt" after Emily hunted her eggs. Doesn't Tyler look
sweet with his little Easter basket? :)
Even Beau got in on the fun. He rode around
in Em's basket for a long time. :)

Hey! Emily looks so sweet in her dress! I especially love the picture where she is pointing to herself.

Didn't know that Brad was such the cook!? The food looks wonderful!

What a pretty little girl! She looks so sweet in her little dresses and you look awesome by the way! Motherhood is agreeing with you! I'm sure she loves having you read to her. I can still picture you reading Chrysanthemum to the kids in South Dakota and I still think of you when I read that book to my kids at school.
