Heat Wave!

Mississippi is having a major heat wave, as is the rest of the country! The humidity is ridiculously high, and my hair is in crisis mode. When we first moved into our house, we had this beautiful back yard with a brick pathway leading to an azalea bed. Due to my first trimester nausea and the recent heat, we now have an overgrown pathway (it's somewhere under all those weeds) leading to a sad patch of azaleas and wilting flowers. I tried to water things this weekend, but I don't think it's helping. One of my friends made me feel a little better by reminding me that things will die anyway this fall, and I can get out there next spring and start fresh. So.... all is well after all! :)

A week from tomorrow we find out if we're having a boy or girl!!! I am so excited about finding out. Because we didn't announce our pregnancy in a really big, dramatic way, I decided it would be fun to plan a party for the big boy/girl announcement. I thought all the hype would be fun for the family (and me, too). I sent out invitations to our family and really close friends here in town, and I'm counting down the days until the "Big Reveal." Everyone is going to come dressed in either blue or pink, depending on what they think we're having. I thought this would be a fun photo for the baby book. So, all you out of town friends, what would you wear..... BLUE or PINK?

What a cute idea! You are so creative. I think you're having a girl. I don't know why but that's my vote. i think you can find a poll html code somewhere. That's what Sara Walker did. i thought that was a fun idea. Then you can see how many people are guessing. i agree with you on the heat! Just be glad that your not 8 or 9 months pregnant. Now that's miserable! I don't recommend having a July baby! Good luck and I can't wait to find out. Make sure and give your blog readers an update after the party!

I can't wait for the reveal party! Ronnie and I are wearing pink, but Tyler is wearing blue. I even bought Ronnie a pink shirt for the occasion. Megan is thinking girl, also. Either way, we'll be happy! Mrs. Kathy

Oh, Angie! It is ridiculous how fun and creative you are. I just kick myself thinking of how far away I live from you. Ugh.
So on August 21 in Atlanta, Georgia, I will be wearing PINK! =)
And, girl, I can picture your hair now, with all those curls springing up around your face. =) Mine has been in a ponytail for about a month, I think.
And that's kind of pitiful- dying flowers (anyway) cheer you up? I guess you can start over in the Spring. Don't sweat the small stuff (literally).

I'll Be wearing blue.... Too many girls these days. We have too many cheerleaders, I think you will be called upon by God to have a little "Razorback". Abigail and Ansley will cheer for him. However, if your plans for him are "hotty totty", I vote GIRL!!

Yeah! I thought you should be finding out soon since we found out in August:) Ahh...the memories! I will be wearing pink because as girly as you are you just have to be seeping girl hormones into that fetus:) Can't wait to hear- call me. Use a curling iron on your hair and some tacky goo stuff. I use VO5 stuff(red small jar) from Walmart:) New trick I learned from my hairdresser-maybe you already knew it but you know I didn't do much with my hair so I'm trying to learn some new things.ha ha!

Angie,
I wish so badly that I could be there! I think Brad would be such a great girl daddy...he did so well with Abigail and Ansley while we were there! We had a big reveal party also...it was so fun!...and we were just as shocked as everyone else! I love and miss you lots!

LOVE this idea!! So cute! We may have to do something similar one day.

You know I feel you on the hair. Girl my hair is in a bun everyday so I don't scare people!

My vote is against the majority, but I'm thinking blue for a boy--but we still need some girls--so I guess I'll be happy either way:)! But I vote blue!

What a neat idea!! I'm thinking boy for you, but I'm almost always wrong, so you are probably having a girl.
