So Much Going On

So much has been happening with us recently that I don't know where to begin. It's been one thing after another, and I haven't been able to keep you up to date. I suppose I'll try to go in some sort of time order.

Brad graduated at the end of May. Yay!!! School is over!!! I'm so proud of all his hard work and thankful that we were married for the whole process. So many people told us to wait and get married after medical school because it was so tough on the family life, so I'm really proud of us for sticking it out so well. I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to know so much about that part of his life. The day after graduation we packed up our house and moved to Tupelo.
I'll add pictures when we find the power cord
for the computer the graduation pics are on.

That next Tuesday, we had our first prenatal visit. Everything looked good, and we're scheduled for a sonogram at the end of June. I can't wait to see that, so I'll finally feel like I'm actually carrying something in there! Funny story at the doctor visit-- After the exam, the doctor told us that my uterus felt like it should at this point and called it "boggy." Apparently, that's a medical term that is good at this point in the pregnancy. Anyway, I thought he said my uterus was "blubbery" and asked Brad on the way home why he called me blubbery. He got a big kick out of that and cleared things up for me-- boggy, not blubbery!
Here I am at just under 10 weeks
I haven't gained but a pound, but my belly is really looking
round in the evenings. My mom said she plumped up early too.

Four days after we moved in, Brad left for Honduras. We decided I shouldn't go this year since I was pregnant. I guess it was the right decision, but it was really hard for me to miss out on everything. Not only did I miss Brad (currently WAY too hormonal to be away from him for 11 days with little to no contact!), I also felt horrible not seeing all our friends in Trujillo. With a baby on the way, we weren't sure when it would be possible for us to get another trip together, and it breaks my heart thinking about missing several years of these people's lives. We've gotten really close to so many people there, because we go back to the same spot each summer. Hopefully, things will go more smoothly than I imagine and we'll be able to go back before too much time passes.

Brad returned home Sunday night, and I was so thankful to see he made it back safely. I don't think he made it up the driveway before I was out the door and attacking him!

So, right now we're trying to "set up house" around here before Brad starts work on Monday. We have tons to do, and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at this point. I'm really sick of organizing (I know, I thought I'd never say that!!) and unpacking. I wish I could do that genie eye blink thing and be done with all this work!

I think that should have you updated for now. I guess I'll get back to packing. Brad's itching to get everything done, because we have some very special guests coming into town next weekend..... Rebecca, Eric, and possibly the girls!!

Yippee! I can't wait to see your blubber! ;) That is such a funny story! Apparently another medical term is "blossoming." My doctor would use that instead of "getting fat." He! He! We are looking forward to our trip! Tell Brad to relax...I love to organize so I can help! I'll just pretend it's another one of your classrooms! ;)

There will be time for another trip together before the baby arrives. The second trimester has always been good for me to travel. Make sure you do something though-it may be a while before you're able to. You look great by the way!
