I recently discovered that one thing I can grown VERY well is giant weeds like the one you see above. I put my shoe next to my new yard addition so you could see just how healthy it really is! Maybe the new owners will do a better job keeping the back yard sprayed.
I'm going to miss my little yard when we move, but I don't think it will miss me very much. The azaleas that I put out when we moved in 2.5 years ago have done absolutely nothing but stay green. The moment the sold sign went up in the yard, they all started blooming. Is that a sign they're ready to get rid of me?!

I am forcing myself into a green thumb this year. I keep picturing what it could look like if I take care of it. I too do not water consistently. Also, after spending as much money as we did on trying to make it look pretty I am going to slave away on it.
My grandmother has such the green thumb that she makes Martha Stewart look bad. This year I'm trying to be more like her. Oh don't feel bad about your azaleas I think sometimes it takes 1 -2 years for them to really get a good root system going.
girl, i am right there with you. my thumb is downright black! i still have 2 pots on my deck of dead flowers from last summer! but with the new landscaping, i'm hoping i can do a little better this year.
I've finally gotten to where I can grow indoor plants pretty well, but outdoors is another story . . Congratulations on selling your house!! And that's wonderful that they are okay with you staying through May, it certainly does not always work out that way. After this move, I'm hoping to stay put for a while!
