Boxes Galore

We have had a very busy weekend packing up our house. My mom and niece came down on Friday, and they managed to pack most everything we own! Now everything really looks bare! We left a few plates, bowls, and glasses, but other than that, the kitchen cabinets are empty. The mantle is clear and the bookshelves are stripped clean. We have all the boxes stacked up in the front bedroom, and you can barely walk into the room. I sure hope we don't need any of that stuff in the next month, because I would hate digging through all those boxes looking for something!

In the middle of all our packing, a small hail storm came. I had never seen one of those here, so I posted a picture for you. I'm sure most of you have seen one up close, but that was a first for me.

Things are really coming down fast around here. Thanks, Mom and Betsy, for helping us this weekend! We would still be running in circles wondering what to do next if you hadn't been here to motivate us!

So nice that your family could come and help. Packing is a tough and overwhelming job. Glad you got it done so quickly!

You did make a lot of progress. The toughest part is getting started. Hope you have a good week!

Do you feel sad looking around at your empty house? For me that's always the worst part or most emotional I guess.
