Emily marched off with her class and seemed content as could be. This was the first year that I had not helped with her class, so I was having a little "letting go" moment. :0) Ginger, Chanda, and I took the cradle roll kids off to class. We got through about 3 songs before everyone started having meltdowns.....6 p.m. isn't a baby's best time, you know. We broke out the snacks early which seemed to help. Hunter tried his first Nilla Wafer and really liked it!
I was able to sneak away for a few minutes to track Emily down and see how she was doing. She was making it just fine without me. :0) She was so excited to tell me about the rope they held on to while walking. She stood by Amy, and she held Lanie's mommy's hand coming down the stairs. And now she was having POPCORN! I love that she wants to tell me everything!

By then, the night was over and it was time to head back upstairs for some closing songs.
Wow, does time fly when you're busy! I'm hoping I'll be a little more organized tomorrow. I had that first day of school feeling. You know: You issue books, race off to lunch and finally figure out how everyone is paying for their meal before taking the last 3 minutes to scarf down your food, only to get back to the room and realize you have exactly 7 minutes before the bell rings and you need to know who goes to carrider and who gets on which bus.......exhausting! Yes, that's how I felt tonight. Sorry, cradle roll moms. I'll try to "let go" of my baby girl tomorrow and focus in on our class....not that they notice. My little man just wanted those snacks! :0)

So glad we will be able to use these pics in their senior slideshow, rehearsal dinner, etc. :) I love that you can see the excitement in Emily's eyes!
