Super Fast Catch-Up

10/20: We visited the pumpkin patch where Emily's favorites were a baby cow and Stewie, a baby monkey.

Emily ran around the patch thumping all the pumpkins and singing, "Pumpkins, pumpkins, picking pumpkins, from the pumpkin patch" (Barney farm video)
She even jumped in the bounce house with Ava. She's never been brave enough to get all the way inside one of these before. Way to go, sweet girl!
The bravery just kept on coming when she crawled into this bounce house, went up the stairs, and down this huge slide without ever asking for help. I was shocked when I heard her little voice way up high and couldn't believe she was about to slide!
Even though we left him at home with K during our visit to the pumpkin patch, precious baby Hunter was all smiles when we returned home and told him about it.
10/22: We made our first visit to Brad's office with 2 children. Hunter decided he should mark the visit with a really good diaper to be changed on Daddy's desk, and Emily found the candy basket and made calls to her patients on Daddy's phone.
Baby girl and Daddy have started riding the lawnmower together. Sometimes they mulch up the leaves, and sometimes they just ride. She used to be terrified of the mower, but this day she cried as they pulled it back into the garage to be parked.
10/23: Daddy even lets her drive it all by herself. She has to sit all the way back in the seat to be heavy enough to keep the seat down and the engine running. :0)
And Emily loves her littlest audience, baby brother Hunter.
Emily has started playing little games on the computer and loves it. Her favorite is a Little People game called "Who's at the Door?" and the starfall site where you can build your own pumpkin, turkey, or gingerbread man. I think she looks so cute scrolling up and down with the mouse and those tiny fingers!
10/24: Hunter got all dressed up in Daddy's baby outfit for his first outing to church. He was good as gold and slept in his carseat most of the morning.
We then headed to Krystal for a little lunch.
10/26: Hunter has already begun his brotherly duties! He put his foot down after a few minutes of this. :0)
10/27: Emily got all dressed up in the Halloween tutu Mrs. Dale gave her for Wednesday night church. She even took her Bitty Bear dressed as a ghost in a little Kleenex, an idea she got from her Clifford Halloween book.
11/2: Hunter got his first set of shots and did not like them one bit! I think he fussed a little more than Emily did, and they made him feel bad for several days after that.
11/3: We also began work on tummy time after this doctor visit. He is a big boy, and it's hard to hold up all that weight, so we had to do lots of neck exercises this month. There's Emily in the background in time-out. She doesn't always like the attention brother gets during his exercise time, and that tends to lead to time-out. :0)
Little man is also having to be patient while Emily gets her own special time. He is almost always so good to play in his bouncy seat as I move from room to room, trying to keep up with Emily.
I have a picture like this with Emily when she was a baby, and I had to include this one of Hunter, too!
11/6: We went to a Christmas Open House at a local nursery. It was decorated beautifully, there was hot cider, and Santa Claus even showed up!
And Emily somehow convinced Santa to sing Jingle Bells to her. Seriously! Since there wasn't a singing Santa statue at the nursery like Emily had hoped, she decided she'd just ask the real Santa to sing for her! :0) I was very glad he did!
Hunter has started gazing up at us like this when we bathe him, and it just melts my heart. He'll smile and coo and is so content.

Emily and I have started cooking and baking together on a regular basis. She loves to stir and pour and is actually very good at it. Here we were making congo squares, and Emily had flour on her from head to toe!

11/7: Eva Brooke and Hunter were both wearing vintage outfits this day at church. Ginger and I are always dressing either our kids or ourselves alike. Emily was wearing one of my niece's old dresses and looked super sweet, too!

11/8: We've been doing lots of hanging out at home this month. At least one of us has been sick since the beginning of October. As of today, we're all well enough to be out and about, and it feels good!!

11/10:

11/14: Hunter even let me indulge in a little photo shoot with him. He's very patient with his ole mom!
Hope everyone out there is doing well. Maybe someday I'll get everything caught up on this blog!

Hunter just looks like a little porcelain doll, especially in that bath picture. Such a cute pic of Emily playing on the computer too. Looks like she may be getting over the I-won't-look-at-the-camera phase! Can't believe she was so brave with Santa! Oh, and that-a-way to break in Brad's desk!

Hunter and Emily are getting cuter every day! Love the bath pictures of Hunter and the cooking pictures of Emily. Did not realize she was playing computer games!
