Hunter Bradley has arrived!
Our sweet boy was born Friday, September 3rd at 12:29 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds and was 20 inches long. We are head-over-heels in love with the newest member of our family!
We checked into the hospital Thursday night so I could begin my penicillin. I spent most of my night dragging my IV pole back and forth to the bathroom, not getting much sleep at all. About 5:20 that Friday morning, I realized that I had started labor on my own. The doctor came around 7:00 to go ahead and start the Pitocin drip and had the nurse keep a close eye on me because he thought I was going to deliver fast. He was right! I had a very comfortable labor thanks to an early epidural, but around noon, things suddenly started picking up. The nurse said she would come back at 12:30 to see how I'd progressed, but I didn't make it that long. About 12:15, I called her in because I just felt it was time to push. She threw me back in the bed saying, "Don't cough, don't sneeze, don't move!" The doctor rushed in, and after 4 minutes of pushing, Hunter arrived!
Melt my heart!
It has amazed me that we are able to feel so much love all over again for another child! Brad, Emily, and I are completely smitten with this sweet baby boy! He is the best little baby, and we feel blessed beyond measure! He is eating and sleeping very well for a newborn, and I am just SO THANKFUL for this precious boy!
