New House

We closed on our new house Thursday, and we've been in a mad dash to get things done before moving all our furniture in. Both of our families have been out of town since we closed on the house, so Emily has had to go up and work with us each day. We had a "terrible twos" kind of day yesterday, but today she has been an angel. Needless to say, we got a lot more done today, and I didn't have to shed any tears! :0)

We're mainly doing yard maintenance, spackling holes, and some touch-up paint throughout the house. We're going to repaint the office, but we're just priming it for now until I can decide on a color. Brad rebuilt some shelving in the pantry to make it more workable for the kinds of things we store, and it turned out great. Our friend, Andrew, came over today and has spent the day painting with Brad. (THANK YOU, ANDREW!!!!) They are also repainting some closets that were pretty scuffed up.

We're making progress, but I am really anxious to get some family back home to help with Emily while I do some cleaning and tedious tasks like shelf paper everywhere. (I am obsessed with getting things like that just perfect!)-----And yes, we know we are completely spoiled to have family in town to help with Emily while we get things done! :0)
