The Big Reveal --- Our 2nd Little Blessing

Yesterday was the day we were scheduled to find out if our baby was a boy or girl. The doctor's office called me early that morning and moved our appointment up 2 hours. Emily and I were rushing around the house trying to get ready, and Brad was trying to see patients and rearrange his schedule. We arrived at the office around noon, and the baby quickly let us know that.....

IT'S A BOY!

We'll be welcoming Hunter Bradley at the beginning of September. I think I was a little shocked at first that I could actually be carrying a boy. I have LOTS to learn between now and then, but I am so excited about the opportunity to have a boy. Here is a profile view of our sweet little one.

Although Emily was at the office with us, we didn't reveal the news to her until after the party had started. (Good thing, too, because the family was really trying to get it out of her!) We took her out and told her the news first. She had a great response, and we got it all on camera. She busted out of the bedroom, and yelled out to everyone, "It's a boy baby!" We couldn't have asked for a better reaction. I think this baby had lots of people fooled!

We had a great party, and I'll leave you with some pictures of "The Big Reveal."

The invitations matched this "Sugar and Spice"
and "Snips and Snails" theme

Emily started out the night in pink
(Notice the doting grandmother, aunt, and
great aunt in the background- ha!)

Belle and Beau still managed to get some attention

Emily was thrilled to have her friend, Ava, there!

Our family of 3-- very excited and about
to bust with the big news

the 2 year old and the pregnant gals required
a bib with the spaghetti :0)

The pink votes....

The blue votes.....

Emily was excited to tell Ginger the news!

Emily couldn't get enough of Ava's new
baby brother, Will.
She is very into babies right now, so we're
thinking that she's going to be a great big sister!

My niece, Betsy, did a great job entertaining Ava
and Emily. I think she was tired when she left!

My sister, Alicia, voted pink. At the beginning of the
pregnancy, Emily wanted to name the baby 'Shesha'
after her aunt Alicia.
(Emily has also liked the names Jesus and Palmer.)

That's great news! His profile is adorable. Speaking from the experience of being an Aunt to 3 little boys: they are sooo much fun. You'll be a great mommy to baby Hunter Bradley and I love how excited Emily is :)

How exciting! I love how Emily revealed the news. She is going to be a great big sister and will be at a great age to help you. Just talk it up that this baby is "her baby" and she will take great pride in taking care of him and giving him attention. I'm sure it will take some getting used to, but I sure do love little boys and they LOVE their mommies! Congratulations and I love the name too. So sweet. Is this your new house? It's gorgeous!
