Busted Lip

Emily was soooo keyed up (from sugar??) after her birthday party that we had a very hard time getting her to sleep that night. Our regular rocking gig wasn't working, so we just left her in her room. She, of course, was mad about this, but after a few minutes, her crying changed. Brad went in to check on her and found her in the floor with bloody hands, blanket, and lip. We guess she fell/jumped out of bed and hurt herself. She tore her frenulum (that connects her lip to upper gums) which was causing all the blood and had skinned up her lip pretty bad. Poor little girl! She quickly settled down with all the attention from Mommy and Daddy......and she got to sleep with us. You think she actually planned that?! :0)
