We had another wonderful Christmas with our sweet Emily. Sharing Christmas with a child definitely makes it more magical! This year, Emily asked Santa for suckers and candy. That was all she wanted, and I thought it was the most precious thing. Last minute, I encouraged her to ask Santa to fix her CD player so she could listen to all her little CDs in her room. She agreed, and that was added to her list. :)
Because we have such a night owl, we were up and dressed Christmas morning by the time Emily woke up. While the late nights are sometimes hard, I do love the fact that she'll sleep late! Grandmother and Pappy (my grandparents) and Big Daddy and K (Brad's parents) were here and got to see her run out of the bedroom looking to see what Santa had left. Santa left a kitchen, a new CD player with some CDs, 2 outfits, and..........the only thing she cared about........SUCKERS AND CANDY!! :0) She completely ignored all the gifts as she sorted through a basket of suckers, Nerds, Cheetos, and Goldfish. She was in heaven! We all got so tickled with her because she'd open a sucker, lick it, open another sucker, lick it, open another sucker.......and continued until she'd tasted every sucker Santa left for her! :0)
We continued our 2nd annual tradition of making omelets for everyone. Brad can make some fabulous omelets, so we will definitely be continuing this tradition every year!
Watching Emily was definitely the sweetest, most fun part of Christmas!
After lunch, we packed up and drove to Una for Christmas at Brad's grandmother's house. All the cousins were there, and Emily continued to get spoiled!
Later in the afternoon, Emily got an ornament off the tree, attached it to herself, and told me she was a Christmas tree. I'm not sure how she comes up with this stuff! :0)
Then she grabbed Mamaw's cane, and before we knew it, she was singing into it like a microphone! This girl loves to perform for an audience, and it cracks me up!! :0)
