Finishing out May 2009

Seeing as how it's July, I thought I better just make one giant "May" post to try and get me a little closer to being caught up, so here goes......

May 13-16 Brad went to Kansas City, MO for a leadership conference. We really missed him while he was gone and were very happy to have him back at home with us!

Waiting on Daddy at the airport

Brad came back with LOTS of surprises!

Emily wanted a better look at the salt and vinegar
crickets Daddy found at the candy shop.....
REAL crickets!

May 23rd we broke ground on our little garden. This year we planted tomatoes, squash, and some REALLY HOT peppers.

Emily loved helping her daddy!

May 27th we headed over to Tanner's house for a little play date.

On the way there, Emily had fun
playing with her "eyes" from Jackson's party
.

Although Tanner was the host, he was already
down for a nap by the time we thought of taking
pictures. Emily (left) and Mallory (right) weren't
thrilled with the idea of a picture anyway.

Emily did lots of running around the house in her pj's playing....

And we finally drug out her new pool. We were thinking we could just splash our feet in it since we had just gotten a bath and put on clean clothes. Emily had other plans......

I realize I should have known she'd do this!

May 31st we all headed outside to wash Brad's car. Emily is still pointing to the bucket and sponge in the garage and talking about it!

She was not very patient while she waited for
Brad to gather up the hose, bucket, and soaps!

But once we got outside, she was all smiles!
We set up the pool in the driveway to provide
a little extra entertainment. When Emily's entertained,
we tend to be more productive! :)

She totally drenched herself with water!Emily is drawn to that water hose like a magnet!
