On June 23rd, I hosted the Resident Physician Spouse Alliance New Member's Tea at our house. I love entertaining for things like this and had a lot of fun getting everything together. The girls all sent food goodies, and we had a good time being together and meeting the new residents' wives.
After being inspired by Grace and Lola's pigtails, we decided to try our own on June 26th. Emily was tickled with her "tails" and now refers to her barrettes in her room as tails. She doesn't have too much hair in those "tails," but I sure do think she looked sweet!
The end of June brought all of the graduation festivities at Brad's residency program. Brad's not graduating yet (next year!!), but we helped all those that were celebrate.

Can you tell she had about had enough of the
quiet, boring ceremony?!

On June 29th, Emily got a swingset! Brad and I bought the set from Amy and her husband, who were moving to Winona. They decided it was too much trouble to carry it with them, so we were thrilled to bring it to its new home!
What a big helper! Emily stood and sipped her milk
the entire time, watching her Daddy and Big Daddy
move the swingset, piece by piece.

The biggest piece is loaded onto the trailer.
Way to go, Brad and Mr. Ronnie!

At this point, we needed help! Andrew rushed over to get the set
off the trailer, under the wire, through the fence,
and into place in the back yard. Whew!!
installed after the tomatoes are done producing!
Thank you Andrew, Big Daddy, and Daddy!
Emily spent lots of time playing with her Belle and Beau this month. She loves to crawl up into Beau's bed and look at/torment him. She thinks it's WILDLY FUNNY when he growls!
Emily also graduated up to the big bathtub this month! This picture was taken June 29th, but I can't remember if this was her first big bath or not. She is loving all the extra room to play and splash and has begun attempting to "swim" on her belly while kicking. :) ....I realize it's bad that my child is just now experiencing the joys of bathing in a tub. I'll try to do better next go round. The sink was just SOOO convenient and easy!
And the last June news-- this month Emily has gotten on a string cheese kick. Every morning around 10:30, she would ask for cheese. I used this eating time to check my email and would always give her pieces of cheese as she rocked on her elephant next to me. After a day or two of our cheese/email routine, she would ask for cheese and then immediately run to the computer yelling "eeee" (elephant) before I could even get to the fridge! ......Of course, she is now over the string cheese kick. She wouldn't want to become too consistent and predictable, you know?!
Well, that's it for June. Now on to July.....if you're still reading! :)

Wow!! Maritza was my first Clinical Instructor when I was in PT school at Belmont. She worked for STAR Physical Therapy in Franklin, TN. I knew that her husband was in medical school and I've always wondered where she is now :) Sweet, sweet woman!
cute pics! you look so beautiful at the graduation party!!!
Great post!! I'm so glad that there are going to be at least 2 new members to the alliance. I was worried that it might die out. Good to know it will still be around for at least another year or so!
