Emily's First Year

I can hardly believe that our baby girl will be one tomorrow. For her first birthday invitations, Brad and I chose 12 pictures of Emily, one from each month she's been with us. As we looked through the hundreds upon hundreds of pictures I've taken, we remembered all of Emily's firsts and all the things she did that made her "Emily." I still remember so many details of Emily's birth, and I remember that day as one of the most amazing, if not the most amazing, day of my life. I felt so much joy that day as Brad and I worked together to bring our child into the world. I can't believe that child has already been with us a year. She has brought more joy in this short little year than I could ever have imagined. I feel blessed beyond measure to have this child who is so absolutely perfect for us. We prayed for many things as we waited on Emily to arrive, but He gave us far beyond what we were imagining. I am so thankful for this healthy, beautiful child, so full of life and personality. Happy first birthday, Emmy Lou! We love you!
