You Don't See This Everyday

Is that little Emily asleep in her bed?! Why, yes it is! Within a day or two of buying the king-sized bed, Emily began letting me put her down in her crib each night. She doesn't seem scared anymore, so we're going with it. She's napping in her bed and stays here a little more than half the night. She'd probably stay longer, but I'm always so tired at that last nursing session, that I take her back to bed so I can lay down and drift off. I suppose that's a bit selfish, but when you still nurse several times a night you get tired. I've been almost 10 months without sleeping through the night-- not even once. I'm hoping I get bonus points for this. Maybe it will make up for my MANY mess-ups as a mom!! :)

Since Baby Girl is sleeping in her crib, Brad lowered it. Emily was a BIG help to Daddy while he was taking care of this project! :) How sweet is this first picture? Do you see the "I adore you!" look in her eyes as she gazes at her daddy?!

And looky here, looky here..... Emily ate an entire container of baby food!! We've never done this before, so I was a bit excited! I've been battling her eating habits (or lack thereof) for months, so it felt so good to see her open her mouth willingly and eat an entire container of sweet potatoes. She's been doing pretty well ever since. Way to go, baby girl!

I'm so glad she's finally enjoying her bed some! Her bedding is so pretty, it would be a shame not to use it! And congrats on the sweet potatoes too . . she's growing up!

Emily's expressions are great! So exciting that she slept in her own bed. She is growing like crazy.

By the way, we drove through Tupelo on our way home. Dad wanted to take us through the city limits. I was wondering if we might bump into you.

You poor thing, still nursing a few times a night. Hopefully sleep will come soon. There was a month where Lola slept 10-12 hours straight. Now she wakes a few times in the night groaning or playing, I just have to get up and give her a passie back. But I would do anything for 8 hours of sleep right now!
