Mini Vacation

Brad has had this week off (!!!!), so we've been enjoying our time together. We really wanted to go somewhere cold with a great mountain view and a really bubbly hot tub, but it takes a long time to get places like that, and our little angel isn't such a fun traveler. So instead of a mountain vacation, we decided to take a mini vacation to Memphis.

We traveled up and visited with Brad's aunt and uncle. This was where we stayed last April when Brad had to work in Memphis. They had seen Emily since then, but it had still been a few months. Emily was a little shy at first, but she warmed up pretty quickly. We did a little Christmas shopping and ate out at a few yummy spots we don't have here in Tupelo.

We were going to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings the last night, but Emily fell asleep in the car. She's been fussy the past few days (congestion and maybe sore gums???) so we decided to get take-out instead of eating there. Our pager would only stretch so far, so Brad had to sit with his arm hanging out the window to keep the pager within range while we waited. :)

We drove back late last night (Emily sleeps during travel that way) and have spent today getting projects done around the house. Brad still has a few more days of relaxation, and Taylor's coming through town to see us this weekend.
