I am finally coming to the realization that Emily's baby book will be forever empty. I have a box of shower invitations, birth announcements, and jotted notes of all her important "firsts," but I also have at least 3 other scrapbook memorabilia boxes from high school, college, teaching, and even my honeymoon. I am now truly realizing just how much time a baby consumes, and I'm becoming more and more "ok with" leaving these scrapbook items tucked away while I enjoy our sweet baby girl. (Mom, I now completely understand why all my baby and childhood pictures are thrown in a drawer! At least you took them to be developed...unlike me!)
So, to help Emily know that I truly did take pictures (WAY too many) and keep up with her month-to-month milestones, I am going to use the next few posts to fill in the gaps from the past few months. Don't feel obligated to read all eleven of these. They are strictly here to help me remember all of Emily's "moments." I hope she can look back at it someday and realize that even though there are very few printed pictures in albums and there is no official baby book, I was completely enamored by her and have made attempts to create a spot for her to learn about her early years.

I think this a wonderful way to remember Emily's special moments! You really enjoy doing it, and friends and relatives enjoy staying updated and seeing the pictures. Love, K
I am the same way. I have been terrible about her baby book but I plan to keep blogging that seems to work best for me. Emily is so precious!!!
STACEY.......I've been trying to find you ever since you left that first comment forever ago. I've tried looking through everyone's links but haven't had any luck. If you see this, leave me a link!! If anyone else reads this and knows how to find Stacey (formerly DeVries) let me know.
(Hope I'm remembering the maiden name correctly. Now that I've written it, I'm doubting myself... My brain has officially turned to mush with pregnancy and 7 months without a full night's sleep!)
I feel the same way. Something that has helped me is after William's birthday party I make a book (Love mypublisher.com) for that entire year. I go back through my blog and any other notes and make a sort of baby book for him that way. I know myself well enough to know I'll never scrapbook or do anything else and this way he has (I have) something to look at and show off.
I use shutterfly to make books of every year and it's so easy. Another thing I've heard of is blurb which allows you to make books from your blog. I haven't done it before but I'm looking into it.
