Kisses and Bananas

Emily is a very lovey and affectionate child. She always wants to be close to us and loves to cuddle. A few nights ago she started kissing on Big Daddy (Brad's dad), and she melted our hearts. She lifted her chubby little hand up to the side of his face, leaned in, and planted a big open mouth slobber on him. As soon as she finished one kiss, that little hand would go back up to his cheek, and she'd give him another one. It was absolutely adorable, and Mr. Ronnie's heart was mush. I think he'd have given her a pony if she wanted it!

Later that night, my mom and I gave Emily her first taste of bananas. Since the veggies were such a big flop, I was hoping the sweet fruit would be more of a hit. She ate a few bites, seemed to like it (tolerate it, at least), and took the spoon for herself. I think the fact that SHE was holding the spoon made it taste better! We got down about one-fourth of the container, so we're counting that as a success. :)

This was her first night to sit in her highchair, and she did really well. When the tray is on, she can barely see out. She just rests her little chin on the tray and looks like the cutest little munchkin in that big seat. I couldn't resist sharing this picture of her first sit in the highchair. Gran (my mom) and Big Daddy thought she looked precious!
