Big Day for a Baby Girl

Emily went for her first round of shots on Wednesday. She did really well....and I was brave, too! :) When the first needle stuck that chubby leg, her eyes got big. There was a few seconds delay before she realized it hurt. Her lip began quivering, and she let out a good healthy cry for the remainder of the process!
Now that she was immunized, her K (Brad's mom) couldn't resist taking her to have her first picture made with the Easter Bunny. Emily had had Tylenol and seemed to be feeling fine, so off we went to the mall. She met the Easter Bunny (I had her on a blanket so she didn't actually touch the costume!) and even rode the carousel! She seemed to love being out and about, and of course, I did! It was so nice to be able to get out of the house with her!

She couldn't take her eyes off the lights on the ceiling!
K got her a balloon at Chick-fil-a!
Can you tell we also got in a little shopping?!

Once back home, she did a lot of sleeping. Later in the night, she acted like she was hurting, so we kept her dosed with Tylenol, which she loved!
Look at all those band-aids.
The Tylenol did the trick. She loved it!
Yesterday, we went to Old Navy to help Valerie find some maternity clothes. She's finally getting to the point where she needs a little extra room, so we were happy to help her out.

those first shots are awful, more so for us than the babies, though. glad she did so well and that you are getting out and about. it really helps to get out of the house. by the way, you look great!

She is so sweet! I didn't do so well those first round of shots and we kept Braden drugged with Tylenol as well. I just could not stand the thought of him hurting! Glad you are getting out. That is the only thing that kept me sane!

I remember those shots. It was soo funny to me when he would wait to cry and then let it all out! :) I was sad but kind of funny too:) You are looking good! The green sweater looks great on you.

I agree that first round of shots is by far the worst. But it looks like you and Emily did great.

Hey girl! Glad that you survived the shots!! That had to be hard. I took Carter to the dr. once and he had to have a flu and strep test done. I felt so bad that Carmen had to stick a swab in his nose and throat.
