Here she is on her play mat. She likes lying on her
back to look at her toys. Being on her stomach, however,
is a totally different story!

On a happier note, Tuesday was Emily's one month birthday. When I look at the time overall, I can't believe she's already been with us a month. But when I think about all those sleepless nights, I think, "Only a month?" Just kidding! We have loved this little blessing entrusted to us, and we are so thankful that she's now a part of our life!
Happy Birthday, Emily!
Her one month obsessions... the ceiling and lights!

Hope everyone is having a happy Valentine's Day. I'm actually a little sad that I'm not a teacher today. Just think of all the boxes of chocolate I'm missing out on! :)
Happy Heart Day!

Alex HATED tummy time too:) I would just put him there as long as I could stand it. He would look like he was swimming bc he'd be flailing his arms and legs so much. Don't worry she'll be fine. My pediatrician said he should be on his tummy anytime he wasn't sleeping or being held. I freaked out but he turned out alright:)Good luck! Happy one month bday Emily!
We do tummy time a couple small times a day! I got one of those long cheap mirrors from walmart (there like $6) and decorated it with the abc's, hearts, stars, and other shapes with really bright paints! I propped it up on the wall long ways! Then I put a mat down and put them on their tummy in front of it! They were so amazed with being able to see their selves...they seem to like it better that way! We still dont last but about 5 min at a time! Also I place a stuffed animal(or other favorite toy) about 1 foot away and try to scoot their bottoms toward it! They like that too! Its like they try so hard to push their selves along! They are so cute! Thomas gets frustrated really easy so I cant do it with him as much as with Taylor! Good luck with tummy time!
Braden hated it also! I probably should not admit to this but...initially I could only get him to stay on his tummy without screaming & rubbing his face into the mat by putting him in front of the television! I did this a few times so he would hold his head up and now he is doing much better! Hang in there. Even if it's only a few minutes a day...she'll eventually get there!!!
I hate to tell you, but Abigail and Ansley HATED it! I just had to let them do it anyway and cry the whole time. I don't think I really did it enough, but it really will help her get stronger. We did a little at a time...and then several times a day. They never really liked it, but then they got to where they would just roll over! All the joys of motherhood! I love all of the pictures with the family! She is as cute as a button!
William HATED tummy time. He would get so mad that he would push himself across the floor! I def. didn't do it enough but he's fine and sat up and crawled early enough.
When I put 3 mo old babies on their tummy for pics the mom's always get really nervous.Does anybody's child actually like tummy time?
don't worry too much about it. campbell absolutely hated tummy time, and because of his reflux, i almost never did it. just make sure that she is working on her head control other ways, too--like being up on your shoulder, and she'll be fine.
She's a beaut!!! :) Cutie pie!
