Two in a Row

For the past two weekends, we have been able to catch up with college friends. There's something special about college friends, because I feel like you know them better than any other friends. When you live so closely to people for 4 years, you know pretty much everything about them... probably TOO much about them! :) I won't tell you how long it had been since I'd seen them (way too long), but of course we picked right up where we left off.

The first weekend we hitched a ride to Birmingham with Brad's parents for a very quick visit with Rachel, Britt, and Shelley. We only had a few hours on Saturday to see them, but it was well worth the drive. We all went out to lunch together, and then later Rachel and I met back up for a quick Target run. She tried to give me a crash course on all the baby goods I would need to register for. Alex (Rachel and John's son) and Tess (Britt and Shelley's daughter) were adorable! It made me even more anxious to get Emily here!


The next weekend, Rebecca and Eric drove down so we could go to the Ole Miss/Arkansas game in Oxford. They left the girls with Eric's parents, so we didn't get to see Abigail and Ansley. We really missed getting to love on them, but it was really nice to have some adult time together. I hadn't been to a football game in years, so I had a blast. Brad had fun, but he was highly disappointed in the Rebs. Apparently they didn't do so well. Rebecca and I were talking so much that I'm not sure I even saw one play of the game, but I wasn't really there for the game anyway! :)



We had so much fun both weekends, and loved getting to catch up with everybody. We definitely hope to do it again soon... that is if Emily doesn't knock us off our feet with her arrival!
