Sick Baby Girl

We had another busy weekend working on our house. The long drive on the weekend is getting tiring, but that was our last drive until we take the moving truck at the end of the month! We've finished up everything, and our families will keep the place up and running until we get there. My granddad has taken great delight in getting his own key to check up on things each day. He calls and tells me that he's watered the yard or checked all the spots that could leak. :)

While we were working, our "babies" were passed from one available family member to the next, and in the process they got a lot of table food. Belle and Beau get only special dog food at home, so this was a major shock to their systems. Belle has had the hardest time. (Stop if you have a weak stomach.) She's had diarrhea for 1.5 days, and today when I walked in from work, there was blood everywhere. It scared me to death! I rushed her to the vet, and after some tests, he said she's bleeding in her colon. Her little body couldn't handle all the extras it got this weekend. Two shots and some antibiotics later, we're back at home, and she's resting on the couch. She hasn't vomitted in the last 45 minutes, so hopefully we're back in the clear. I'm really worried about her, and hope she starts doing better soon. (This is my "baby" since we don't have kids, so please forgive me if you feel I'm worrying too much.)

We're going to take it easy tonight. I'll try to relax and not stress over the statewide achievement tests we're taking this week. These tests get me all nervous every year! Hope everyone out there is having a week that's a little less "eventful" than ours!

Oh my gosh!!! I would have DIED if I saw that. Poor baby!!! You know, I have a "child" of my own. Bless their hearts. I wish loving friends and family would leave giving table scraps to the mommies that know best! I hope they both feel better soon!!!

The same happens when your babies are children and not puppies. moms just know what is best for their little ones. i understand:)

Oh no! Poor baby! You are so not overreacting. I bawled everytime I took my cat, Samson, to the ER during his "sick phase"... you love them so much and just want them to feel better! Hope she feels better soon! Give us an update!!

I feel bad for saying anything about Lincoln's bronchitis now. That's nothing compared to what your going through. Hope she's better really soon!
