It's Official!

Our house is officially on the market! We put our "For Sale" sign out in the yard last night, and now we play the waiting game. We are very excited about this next phase of our life, and selling the house will be our first step towards that.

Brad will finish school in May and begin work at a hospital in July. Medical schools across the country have what is called "Match Day" on March 15. During the ceremony, medical students find out the location where they have been accepted to begin their medical careers. For us, we're hoping that location will be Tupelo.

We want so badly to be near our families again. I haven't lived near my family in about 5 years, so I'm looking forward to all the little things that go along with that. It will be nice to be able to drop in and check on my grandparents and both of our parents. We'll love having family on the same pew at church. There are lots of little things we've been missing.

Everyone says that marriage is easier when you don't live in the same town as your parents. We've had that for a few years, but now we're ready to go "home." Not to say that there won't be new lessons to learn or boundaries to establish, but we are looking forward to that security of being surrounded by so many people who love us.

So, here goes nothing. We've got a house to sell!
