A Few of My Favorite Things

Every year there are a few Christmas gifts that make you chuckle, and I thought you might like to see the ones that made me smile this year.

First, we have the seasonal elf cookie jar. I busted when I unwrapped this little beauty. It was a gift from Brad's grandmother, and she definitely gets the creativity award this year! She said the face reminded her of Brad, and she just couldn't resist it. She has recently gotten involved in antiquing, and as you can tell, she has come across some one-of-a-kind pieces. How great will it be to pull this cookie jar out every year? This gift will keep me laughing for years to come!

Next on my favorites list was a gift from one of my students. Inside the box was a beautiful silver sleigh ornment, but it was the outside of the box that caught my attention. Look closely at the ribbon on the box. Is that a small cut of weave? Why, yes, I do believe my present was bundled up with a string of fake hair! Yet another memory to live on for many Christmases to come.

Hope you enjoyed my favorites this year. Maybe they brought a smile to your face just as they did to mine!

I'm laughing so hard out loud! I can't decide which one is my favorite - the weave or elf that looks like brad. Ha! Good stuff!
