Behind Again......sigh

I considered just skipping over these pictures and starting back up with the present, but we all know good and well that I will never get around to documenting these moments in a scrapbook. So, for the sake of childhood and family memories, I backtrack to November. :0)

November was a good month at our house. The jealousy that crept in at Hunter's 6th week mark slowly began to lift, as did the sickness that had plagued our house for the past month. (And I don't feel that plagued is too dramatic. A sick newborn, a sick husband, a sick and somewhat jealous baby girl........well, all that adds up to one crazy mama!) Emily wanted to hold her brother again, play with him, and help me with big sister duties. She also got back to her regular napping and bedtime routines. (HALLELUJAH!! Once again, not too dramatic!) Her very last tooth popped through on the 13th, and on the 21st, Emily decided she was done with diapers. Hunter suddenly became interested in toys and started reaching out for them. I think he's more into toys than Emily ever was. He also started major drool and spit up issues, so a bib became our newest accessory. He really started interacting with us and is so much fun! November was a good month at our house, and I'm thankful for a busy house and a life FULL of family and friends!

11/14--All You Can Eat Sushi
turned out to be more than we really wanted to eat
(Brad and Andrew getting very full......)
Ginger and Eva Brooke
me and my Hunter

11/15-- Hunter gets so excited looking in
the mirror. This is one of his favorite toys.

11/18-- Our waitress announced to the restaurant
that Emily had been crowned Waffle House Princess of the Day.
Everyone cheered, and she was grinning almost as big
as her mommy!
Back at home, Hunter cut up with his mirror while I rocked
Emily to sleep for her afternoon "rest".....because she's
not tired and doesn't ever need a nap. :0)

11/22-- My sweet babies.....
Emily was not too crazy about Hunter "pulling
her hair" here. She's not too sure about this
"He's just a baby and doesn't know better" answer
that I keep giving her.

This was taken on day 2 of potty training.......
She had her chart filled up within 24 hours! She just
decided one Sunday afternoon that she was done with
diapers. Brad took her to her room to change her diaper,
and when they returned, she had decided she wanted panties.
She had been telling us forever that her diapers "felt funny," and
she finally decided she was ready. She did incredible with it!! She
only had 2 accidents the first week, and there were probably
just 2 or 3 more after that. When the girl decided she was ready,
she was really ready!! For her BIG treat after filling her chart,
she asked for a candy cane......oh, how I love my sweet girl!!
11/24-- Hunter's newest hobbies are
spitting up (constantly) and drooling (when excited),
so his newest accessory is the bib!

Emily found these Frosty window gels
at Walmart and wanted to "decorate" with them.
She was so excited, and I agreed to buy them.
(Jillina, I instantly thought of you!)
She was so cute moving them around each day,
telling me she was decorating.
When the season began, Emily told me she wanted
a fork for Christmas. Then she discovered the
ToysRUs catalog...... Notice everything she circled because
it was "so coot(cute), Mommy!"
Emily loves holding Hunter again. He is
almost as big as she is. We took him for a sick visit
this month, and he was 17 pounds at the weigh-in!!
Emily is somewhere around 26 or 27 pounds.

11/26-- Mamaw gave Emily this horse at Thanksgiving,
and she loves it. Here she was carrying it around the house,
singing "Mary Had a Little...Horse." This horse soon
became the white horse that Princess Snow White
rode away on. She LOVES Snow White right now.

11/28-- Emily loves her Uncle Tyler!

11/29-- Hunter and I had breakfast with Rudolph
this day. She insisted I call her Rudolph throughout
the meal.

12/1-- Hunter has started rolling to his side while
he plays. Sometimes he gets to kicking and scooting
so hard that he kicks his socks off and turns in circles.

12/3-- Hunter, K, and Emily watching a movie
(Notice Emily's face as she tries not to grin.)

12/4-- Hunter loves to look in mirrors and play
with his toys. He gets so excited and will start
hollering!
I don't remember Emily ever being this interested
in touching toys this early on. I could just eat him
and that roly poly wrist up!

12/5-- Reading Snow White and the Seven "Dwarf-is"
with Aunt Alicia
I just love her in these zip-up pj's! I asked to take her
picture and she ran to stand by Leon (our elf).
He was up too high to really be in the picture, but she
was satisfied. :0) Oh, how I love this girl!

12/7-- Emily and Hunter helped me make Reese's
peanut butter cup cookies. Emily's job was to unwrap
the cups and line them up on the counter. I love that
she was concentrating so hard in this picture.
And then she was back to her silly self for the next
picture. Emily's method with this task--
unwrap one, eat one, unwrap one, eat one,......
Daddy brought her some princess stickers home from work!
Distracted by her Reese's cookie, she sat still
long enough for me to get a few pictures of her
wearing her Christmas pj's. Hunter's size 3 month Christmas
pj's never fit, so I don't have a cute matching picture.

12/9-- At the movies with her babiesI convinced Emily that this outfit was a
Snow White dress, so she let me have a
quick photo session for her birthday party invitations.
Hunter snoozed on Big Daddy who had dropped
by for a surprise visit.

12/10-- Emily was so proud to help feed
Hunter a bottle!

Let's see, that gets us a little closer to the present. About 4 more posts, and I'll be caught up to Christmas! :0)
