One Month Already?!

The day slipped up quickly, and our sweet little Hunter turned one month old yesterday. I'm not exactly sure where the time has gone! I took the opportunity to look back through our pictures over the past month, and it made me a little teary-eyed seeing how much Hunter has already changed. He is THE SWEETEST little baby. It is no secret that Emily completely rocked our world when she arrived, and we are realizing part of that is because she was no ordinary newborn. Hunter has taught us that most new babies will actually sleep and be somewhat scheduled! He is the most pleasant child and has made our transition to 2 children so much easier than I had expected. (I feel that I must add here: Emily was a wonderful baby, and she had us completely smitten, too. She just didn't sleep much and ate every hour or two around the clock which left me sleep deprived.) I tried to pull my favorite pictures from the last month and narrowed it down to 104......who says the second child doesn't get the same lens time?! Needless to say, it will take a few posts to get them all on here! :0) Here are a few to get us going:

9/9/10

Sweet little feet.....and the ever-present blue line
on my little man's diaper. (Great invention, by the way!)
Emily can hardly wait for Hunter to wake up!
(And, yes, those are ballet shoes over my son's bed.
We haven't figured out what we want up there, so
for now, the ballet shoes stay!)
I love my little man!

9/10/10
There's no telling how many sleeping pictures I have.

They're just so sweet that I can't help myself!

Hunter gets fussy each night from about 8 - 10.
We have figured out that he is happiest stretched out
on Brad during this time. Here's a shot of Brad working
his magic during that sweet father/son time.

9/11/10
Six days after coming home from the hospital, we finally brought Belle and Beau home from my mom's house to meet their new brother.

9/12/10
For my first outing alone with both children, we went to Sonic. They both behaved beautifully!
Off we go!

9/13/10
Can you tell somebody loves her brother?!
This was one of Brad's outfits when he was a baby.
Working on a diaper.....

Emily went out to help Daddy water the new sod and
came back in dripping wet! She was so proud!

And in case anyone who reads this blog is wondering- NO, my son will not be participating any any "ballet-like" activities, regardless of whether or not he has pink slippers above his otherwise masculine bed. He would rather play football for Ole Miss and deer hunt. :-)

ha! ha! Brad!!! Don't worry... we didn't think he'd be a ballet dancer! :)

Angie- he is the sweetest!!!! Looks like Emily is loving it too! You are giving me confidence to try to have another one! Grace and Em were similar babies! :) Love all the pics!!

Oh my goodness, he has grown!! That pic of him in Brad's outfit with Emily's hand rubbing his head is my favorite. She definitely LOVES her brother!!

I love all the new pictures! He has grown and changed so much already, especially in the pictures with Brad's outfit. That will be a great photo to compare with Brad's baby one. I'm so glad he's giving you a much easier time! The second time around is just so different and easier, but you just can't imagine how you can love the second child as much as you love your first, but it's instant and it will be so neat to see their differences, just like you have already. My boys are as different as night and day and it's so fun to love them for different reasons!

These are great pics Angie!! As usual!! Is Em in the bed with him? That's precious!! I think my fav is the one just below y'all going to Sonic. Where Em is lovingly looking at Hunter!! Can't wait to see more!!

I LOVE all the pictures! Seeing him in Brad's outfit makes me teary-eyed. Seems like just yesterday Brad was wearing that little outfit to get his picture made at Olan Mills. I remember that day so well. Hunter looks like him, too.

Yes, I do believe Hunter is starting to look more and more like his Daddy. Sorry, Angie, maybe a third child might look more like you :) I cannot believe how fast he is growing (and Emily too!).
