Family Time

Brad took off the full week after Hunter was born, and we took a little time almost every day to let the Grandmothers watch Hunter while we went out and did something special with Emily. One day we went to Wal-Mart to buy Emily her very own stool to stand on as she helped with Hunter's diaper changes at the changing table. Another day we went for a Mommy/Daddy/Daughter lunch date. And this day, we headed out to the park......

Emily couldn't believe Daddy was feeding the ducks
with his toes. She stared in disbelief and then turned
to look at me and giggle.

Emily's braver when Brad's around, and she went down
the big twisty slide! She was so proud of herself!
She had just spotted a butterfly on the playground.

She even let Daddy swing her which she normally
does not like to do.

And the highlight of the trip.....
a bird pooped in my hair while we were sitting under
a tree feeding the ducks. Ewwwww!

Another evening we headed out for a stroll with both kids. Emily rode her four-wheeler and did a really good job steering it. She only hit the curb 2 or 3 times on the way! :0) She and Brad threw balls on the tennis courts and then ventured out into the grass to play.

Playing "Jack and Jill" on the hill by the lake-

And then Hunter decided he was hungry and let me
hear about it all the way home.......
(the one time we forgot to carry the passy!)

My dad would be so proud that you bought the right kind of bread to feed those ducks :) I have always had a horror that a bird would poop on my head...and that really happened to you. Oh yuck!!
