Babymoon Trip -- June 3-8

We finally did it. After almost 2 and 1/2 years, we went on a trip without Emily. We had planned a beach trip with our friends, Andrew and Ginger, and we finally decided that this would be our only chance to have an "us" trip before Hunter arrived in September. We left Emily for 5 nights (GASP!) with Brad's mom, and I don't think she missed us a bit! I was the only one crying as we left! We had a great time getting to be "us" in Gulf Shores, and I even managed to relax a little. :0)

Day 1 on the beach-- It's amazing how much less
equipment you need when you're just packing for adults!

Day 2-- The oil washed up. I was expecting a film over
the water, but it looked more like gravel. When you touched
it, it left an oily (smelly) film on your hands or whatever it hit.

Brad found a piece of coral that had been covered
in the oil. It didn't look at all like what I was expecting.

We ate outside with a gorgeous view, a great live band
below us, and the fabulous ocean breezes!

The boys let us treat ourselves to a pedicure.
After all, it's hard work carrying Hunter and Eva Brooke
in all the sand and HEAT!

I had asked for the nice plain pearl color but somehow
ended up with a silver "rocker girl" stripe across the end!
I felt too bad to say anything, so I'm still sporting the look.
I know you all want to run out and have this done, too! :0)

Ginger and I stuck with fried shrimp!

By the end of the trip, Ginger and I became permanent
pool fixtures. It's just so HOT when you're pregnant!
