Spring Break

I am getting behind in my posts! I just realized that I never posted pictures of our Spring Break trip to Atlanta, Georgia with Brad's family a few weeks ago. We headed up on a Thursday and stayed through Sunday, so it was a good, long weekend trip. It was long enough for Emily to get totally spoiled by her grandparents, great grandmother, aunt, and uncle!

We visited Stone Mountain the first day. Our favorite part was a ropes course they had. You were harnessed in and walked the ropes at your choice of 3 levels. Brad and Tyler made me start at level 2 with them, but after the first walk-over, I had to turn around and go back down to the first level with Megan. I am not so brave when it comes to heights or small spaces!!!

Emily loves to walk now!
Playing "Boo!" in the picture booth with Aunt Megan
Riding the cable car to the top of Stone Mountain

on Stone Mountain
(Fun Fact: It's made of granite.)
On the observation deck with K and Mamaw

Riding the train with my sweetheart
Excited to be riding the train
Playing in the barn playland with Daddy
Look how BRAVE I am!!

We also celebrated Mrs. Kathy's 51st birthday while we were in Atlanta. We made a cake and those fabulous chocolate covered strawberries that I now know how to do! :)

The next day, we visited Six Flags. Once again, Miss Scaredy Cat only made it on one roller coaster. The Great American Scream Machine made me scream a little more than I remembered from years ago, so I sat the rest of the rides out and hung out with Emily, Brad's parents, and his grandmother. Now that I have Emily to think of, I'm not so willing to try risky things. Has this feeling crept over any other mothers out there???

SO HAPPY to be driving a truck by herself
Sliding with Aunt Megan

My strong man won us all prizes at the game
where you use a mallet to hit the platform
and try to make all the lights light up
(not sure what it's called....
that's my bad attempt to describe it!)

Cuddling with Big Daddy when she got tired
and started feeling bad (teeth, we think)
He definitely knows how to put on a dance show!

We had a fun trip and enjoyed getting away for a few days. The most exciting part of the trip......Emily slept through the night for the first time!!!! I was so proud! (It's only happened about 4 more times since then, but I'll take what I can get!)

What a fun trip! The best part of the trip was watching Emily's little face as she experienced new exciting adventures! Thanks for the surprise birthday party. The cake and strawberries were delicious!! You're so sweet and thoughtful. Love, Mrs. Kathy

Hey roller coasters are for younger people! Last summer I was the only adult willing to ride with the kids and after riding every one in the park with the teenagers, I definitely felt over 30! But aren't family vacations great. Great memories!
