I haven't been very successful at establishing a daily routine with Emily. As soon as patterns start to develop in her sleeping, eating, and playing habits, things change. I've had to learn to go with the flow and stop stressing over not having a schedule like so many others do.
While most things change every few weeks around here, our morning routine has remained pretty consistent, even now at 7 months. Every morning when Emily starts stirring, she plays in bed until I can make my eyes stay open. When her little hands come up and touch my face, I know she's really ready to get up. Belle and Beau wait at the foot of the bed to tell Emily 'Good Morning,' and she is always so happy to see them, waving her arms and smiling. We let Belle and Beau out to play, and Emily plays in her exersaucer while I get my breakfast together. She loves the Cheerios box for some reason. She plays so sweetly while I finish waking up and eat my breakfast. We usually have lots of good conversations during this time.
