Last night was a very momentous evening for us. So great that it left Brad and me asking, "Is this the same child?" Around 10:45 last night (yes, Emily is still kicking that late!) Emily seemed hungry, so we decided we would try giving her some cereal before bed. She has never let us give her food before bed, but we were on day 6 of her successful lunch feedings, so we figured we'd give it a try. Well, 3 (small) bowls of oatmeal cereal and half a container of sweet potatoes later, our girl was looking very full and tired. Not only did she eat like a champ, that girl let me nurse her and put her in her OWN BED in her room! Emily typically will not fall asleep unless we do this......
(Seriously, she usually wants us nose to nose!)
....(which is super sweet!) so the fact that I put her in her bed without having my hair pulled, my face pinched, and being thoroughly "wallowed on" was a HUGE accomplishment!!!
She stayed in her bed from about 11:30 p.m. until 7:00 this morning. She still woke up 3 times to nurse and a few other times in need of some soothing, but this was a big deal around our house! All I can say is, "WOO! HOO! WAY TO GO, EM!"
Here she is enjoying her FEAST last night. :)
I didn't want to bathe her again since it was so late, and I was
hoping we could be neat, but look at the sweet potato all over
her legs and in between her toes! A baby wipe cleaned it up fine. :)
Like I always say, this may not happen again-- ever-- but for now we're enjoying the moment!

Wow Em!! What an appetite!! I know ya'll are super excited about all her big accomplishments lately!! She's got a lot to teach Tanner!!
Yea! I'm so happy for you! She's getting the hang of being a little person. =)
Sweet, sweet, sweet!
That is hilarious! I love that sweet picture of the two of you. Who ever thought that you would one day clean up that whole mess with a baby wipe and not have to put her in the bath. Mommyhood is changing you a little huh? I know it has me. I'm glad she slept so long for you! :) Keep it up Emily!
That is so funny! That first picture is soooo precious!!!!
