Just for the fun of it (and because Emily is taking an exceptionally long nap) I decided to look back on my blog to May of last year. What a difference a year makes! We had just announced we were pregnant. Work on our house had just been completed. (Had it not been for our families, we'd STILL be working on the house!) I was very sentimental about leaving teaching. (I'm still a little sentimental but very thankful that I can stay home right now.) Belle and Beau were still the "babies" who were in charge around here. Brad was finally finishing medical school and about to begin his residency....and get a paycheck!
Things were very busy and very different a year ago. It's amazing to look back at those pictures and think how much things have changed in a short 365 days. The biggest change, of course, is Emily. Who would have thought this little munchkin would change everything about us? Our free time, our sleep time, the things we now consider fun... our whole mindset is completely different now.
Wow! God has been good to us over the past year! What about you? Take a few minutes to check your May 2007 blog or look back to pictures from just a year ago. How has your life changed? Are there some things that you're still putting off? (That sounds a bit like the end of a church of Christ sermon before the invitation song!) But really- there are definitely things I need to move to the top of my "to-do" list. There are also lots of prayers of thanksgiving that need to be sent up! Here's to a great year!!!

That's so funny that you posted this, because I did the exact same thing on my birthday this year... last year this time I was pregnant and barely showing, we still had tons of house projects going on, and everything just seemed SO different than it is now!!! Life is good now, don't you think??? :)
it's amazing to think how different your life can be in one small year? Mark and I look back now before we had William and think what did we used to do? I used to think people were crazy when they said that :)

So true! Isn't it crazy how a baby changes everything!??? I'm with you on how time flies. I'm so glad she is rolling...isn't it fun?? Sorry we missed you at the beach...maybe one day we'll cross paths again:)
