I am now 33 weeks pregnant, and more importantly, I have just 7 weeks to go! I have had a wonderful pregnancy, but I'm looking forward to a time when I can roll over on my stomach, bend over without feeling like I'm going to lose all air flow, and go somewhere without having to use their restroom! I'm so thankful I'm able to carry this child, but I am looking forward to holding her in my arms. We've been busy getting the nursery ready. My mom has finished the dust ruffle, bumper pads, quilt, and curtains. They are beautiful, and I am SO PROUD of her work. She's an amazing seamstress and can engineer anything I think up for her to do! The nursery is currently full of all the gifts we received at our church shower 2 weeks ago. Everyone was incredibly generous, and I'm hoping to organize some of the items soon. We still have some essentials to buy before things will fall into place, but I feel like we're on a good track. I'm starting to realize just how little time I have to get things done.
Brad had his in-service exam at the beginning of November, and we think he did well. He won't get his scores back until January, but we're so glad to have that checked off our list. We're right in the middle of recruiting new residents for next year's program, so we've been busy taking applicants out during the week.
Brad's been on call a lot lately, and we're looking forward to a little break in his schedule. I think things will be a little lighter for him this month, and I'm looking forward to having him around a little more. :)
We had another sonogram last Tuesday, and everything is looking good. Emily was a little bigger than they expected...... maybe she'll come early! :) Dream on, huh?! My placenta placement was much better this time, so I should be able to deliver without a c-section. I'm down to the end doctor visits that come more frequently, so I feel like we're in the home stretch!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Brad was off Thursday and until 5:00 on Friday, so we had a little time to relax. We traveled to 3 different events Thanksgiving day in order to see everybody in the family. Our visits were fairly short because of the limited time, but it was good to see everyone for at least a little bit. Brad's been working the rest of the weekend, but he'll be off call tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. when he heads in to work.
That's about it for us. I'll leave you with a few pictures from the last few weeks.

You look so cute and I am loving the nursery! I love the silk too. Will's bedding was silk as well and everyone thought I was crazy. They said he will spit up and poop all over it and it will never look the same! I will have them know he hasn't gotten a drop on anything on his bumper! So don't let anyone tell you that you are crazy for it!!! HaHa
Thanks for the update! You have been busy! I can't view the pictures at school- I'll look again later. =)
The room looks great and so do you!! She will be here before you know it! Hang in there these last few weeks!! Love you!!
WOW! The fabric is awesome looking! Can't wait to see Emily. Expect something in the mail from us soon:)
oh my, i love the bedding. i can't believe your mom made that. i am so jealous. david keeps wondering when i'm going to learn to actually sew instead of just using my machine to embroider and sew the occasional ribbon on to a burp cloth. but that nursery is going to be so sweet. hope you continue to feel better. we're almost there--sleep when you can!!
Great pictures. LOVE the bedding. =)
Love the bedding choices! So pretty and girly.
Hey Angie,
So good to check in on you and know that Emily hasn't arrived yet without my knowing. (I have been out of the blogging world for over a month now. Yikes!) The nursery is lovely, can't wait to see the finished product. Both my babies came early, so you never know.(James 35 weeks, Lilah 37 wks.)
No need to stress, God's timing is perfect.
XXOO
More importantly, since your last post, your rebels hired college football's worst football coach!! Congrats. From ALL of Razorback Nation- THANK YOU!!!
