Sugar and Spice

I must say that I'm really excited we're having a girl! I come from a family of girls. We have a few boys sprinkled here and there in our family tree, but they are few and far between. With a boy, I don't really know what to do. But a girl.... I can do girly!

Emily is well on her way to being spoiled rotten. I've gone out and bought a few things at the summer sales. Brad's mom has hit every store in Tupelo. My mom has agreed to help me hand-make all of Emily's bedding, so I am super thrilled about this! This little girl is so loved and she's still 19 weeks out from even entering the world. (I don't mean to imply that the only way to show our love is to buy her things, so please don't think that's what I mean.)

I thought I'd share some pictures of some of the things I've purchased so far. I'm having a hard time deciding on sizes. It's hard to imagine her being so big by next summer!

I LOVE this little linen piece. It was the first
thing I bought. I can't wait to see her chubby legs
poking out from all those ruffles!
I remember my nieces always looking
so sweet in outfits like this. It has the little
pockets that can be folded over the hands.
I'm having a hard time finding a bow to
match this one, but don't worry.... I'll find one!

So sweet! I really love the one with the ruffles, too cute! Figuring out the sizes is hard, but I would imagine it is a little easier with dresses or things without a stride! I know you are so excited!!! I am also SO glad you like the necklace! Thanks for the referrals to your sisters!!! :)

So fun!!! I have 3 brothers, so I would've been fine with a boy . . but I always wanted a sister so badly and now I think having a daughter is so much better! I'm very excited about being able to indulge all my girly obsessions. And I'm sure you've already discovered that every store you go into has so much adorable stuff for girls - it's hard to choose!

I am glad you are having fun with all of the girly stuff! Don't forget to throw an Ole Miss cheerleading outfit in there too! :) Sweet Emily is going to spoiled rotten between you, Mrs. Kathy, and your mom! Love you!

Precious things! It's like having your own babydoll to dress up. =)

I love buying children's clothes. I must have a girl one day because now that William is older it's onto the boy uniform polo's and khakis for the rest of his life sigh. I'm so glad your having a gril so that I can venture over to the girly side :)
