I hope everyone had a nice holiday. Brad was off work, so we really enjoyed our day together. He's doing a hospital rotation and is working really long hours, so it was nice to have an entire day together. When we finally rolled ourselves out of bed just before noon, we decided we would have a cook-out for the family. I'm not sure our families are too keen on all our last-minute planning. Everybody got to come over last night before church, and we had lots of fun.
After church, we met some friends at the park to watch Tupelo's big fireworks show. There were tons of things going on, but we didn't get out there until after 8:00 last night. It was so hot during the day that I wasn't brave enough to venture out. It was a really great atmosphere with the bands playing and all the people spread out on blankets. The traffic was a bear getting out, but it was worth it. Hope you all had a great holiday!
