Do you feel like all the good things (and sometimes bad) you've been waiting for suddenly pour in all at once? I often find myself feeling overwhelmed because it seems that things pile up without me even realizing it. This morning at work, for example, my head was exploding after the first 10 children entered the classroom. One child's mother was in the hospital beginning labor, another child informed me that she's been absent because of the stomach flu and still wasn't feeling well, and another child's mom needed me to call her ASAP. It's not that these were bad events, there were just so many at once!
With our house on the market, I've been praying a lot for patience. I want our house to sell, but I realize that I don't have the foresight to know just when and to whom it should be sold. I've been reminding myself to trust in God's timing. I need to learn patience.
Between the house and work, I feel like I'm getting extra opportunities to learn patience! Do you feel like that sometimes? We pray for something, and then we're given a learning experience instead of the "gift" for which we were asking. God is the ultimate teacher!
The past two days we've had a lot of good things pouring in on us. We've gotten two serious calls about our house, and both parties are wanting an appointment to look and talk numbers, etc. I just got off the phone with someone who was sitting in front of the house wanting to look things over. It's overwhelming to have all this pouring in at once, but then again, I did ask for it, huh?! :)

When it rains, it definitely pours. Patience is something I struggle with, and when it's one of my prayer topics it tends to be hard for me to learn. I know you will be ready to embrace the upcoming changes in your life. May you have a restful evening after encountering all of these patience challengers.
I totally relate. When you ask for something you never get it the way you picture it will come. But the way you get it is always the best. Hang in there. Things work for good to those that love the Lord. I didn't quote that just right but I think you know what I mean.
I was telling someone the other day that the older I get, the less and less I understand about prayer and God's timing. All I know is that He asks us to do it and wants us to give Him our burdens. Hang in there!
We are about to put our house on the markets as well! So stressful, especially since there is a short time frame to get it sold or be stuck with a mortgage here and where you are going! We can totally empathize with you guys. I think we are going to take the realtor route, we could make more by owner, but I don't have time for the hassel with the new little one! Good luck - try not to stress too much, like you said God has a perfect plan for everything in our lives, we just have to trust him!

yeah, i think everyone feels that way from time to time, and i think it's OK to feel like, "hey, this isn't what i meant!" hang in there. you and brad are smart and faithful people, and if you ask, which i know you have, God will show you what to do and give you what you need. i'll pray for you, too.
I hope it's stopped raining for you. Once God finally maps everything out for you everything will make sense!! Love you.
Good luck Angie! That's exciting that you're getting some serious ones! You have NO IDEA how many "free" counseling sessions I have given to sellers... it is SOOO stressful to sell your house and no one likes to do it!!! Hang in there sweetie!!!! Love you!!!!
I can't relate to the house selling but I can relate to nagging students. As a teacher you will be tested everyday you your attitude is almost always reflected by your students. Teaching isn't easy especially on those day. I feel your pain. I am sure you are a GREAT teacher. I would love for Preston to be in your class any day.....
