Halloween 2005Happy Halloween, everyone! We've just given out our last piece of candy and turned out the lights. We had a good turnout and have contributed to lots of tooth decay! :)
Brad and I decided to flashback to the 80's tonight. Brad was all business in the front and party in the back with his mullet. I felt right at home with my leggings and side pony tail.
We live in a small town, and most of the kids know me from school. They all stop by to say hello and show off their costumes. Brad was kidding with one of them tonight and said that his mullet took a long time to grow. Low and behold, a little boy waiting for candy ripped off his mask, grinned, and said, "Mine took a long time, too!" When we looked up, the boy had a nice clean cut in the front with curls cascading down in the back! It was a real, live mullet!

We've had a blast, and I'm ready to turn in for the night. Between our school party (crazy!) and trick-or-treating, I am pooped!

Haha Tell Brad I'm lovin the costume. Haha I think he look gay.
I've literally laughed out loud at your 80's gear. I love it! I'm always amazed how many people still wear the mullet. Yall are so cute and funny. Happy Halloween.
Those are great costumes. Good thing the mullet and side ponytail aren't in style.....well, maybe the side ponytail is coming back in. Either way, awesome get ups!
awesome costumes! looks like you guys had lots of fun. i had trouble posting pictures, too. wonder what is wrong with it.
Too funny - Brad looks like Adam Sandler in the Weddding Singer!

So the official Crosswhite costume contest winners:
2006: Angie
Brimming with the angst of teenhood, Angie embodies what the 80's were about: Oversized belts, tons of eye makeup, and
the ubiquitous Madonna/Michael Jackson
glove. Brad, Miami Vice teal or pink versus the very modern yellow would have made you a contender. Or if you were trying to be Fabio.
2005: Brad
Even though he probably had to buy nothing new whatsoever, since the pens, goggles, and iconic calculator watch (off camera) were within reach, he looks ever the part of the tortured, scientist-practioner that he is. The plastic rats and incredibly
white and wild hair (and we all know Angie did the hair) crown you. Angie, the theme eludes me: Are you a bride of Frankenstein or glitter-eyed gypsy or boa-enshrouded Mae West (and yes, I see the glove). You more than made up for it this year though :)
And the story about the student with the real mullet: priceless.
Only in Richland :) :) :)
Miss you in Peds already Brad. Let's all have sushi some time.
